Tournament #38

Another slow start to this one had me down to $1300. Called a re-raise to $270 with my A/Q. Flop was Q/x/x 3 spades. I pushed all-in, got called. Guy turned over K/K. Turn was an A as was the river, giving me a full house. Felt bad I put a really bad beat on the guy but it was nice to turn the tables for once. Just doubled up with KK. Pushed all-in pre-flop over the top of a guy and got called. By 6/4! Flop came 8/9/10 and I'd have bet my life that a 7 would drop. None did, though, and I'm up to $3500, 8th out of 21. A couple missteps, including chasing a flush while holding 2nd pair, has me down to $1800 with blinds at $100/200, 13th out of 16. Healthy in a hurry when myself and another player both river a gut shot straight draw. Only mine is ace-high and his king-high. $4200, 8th out of 15. A couple nice pots and I'm up to $5900, 5th out of 12. And on to the final table, me with $5470. 2 more guys gone and we're into the $$$. Finally, been awhile since I've been here! Out in 6th place after getting blinded down to $2200. In the BB with A/4, called an all-in. That guy had 10/10 and I busted out. I'll take it anyway.
