Tournament #77

Back from vacation, time for a 45-man tourney...

A/K in the BB so I raise to 3xBB. 4 callers. Flop is 3/5/A rainbow. Checks all around. Turn is a 10c, I bet $120, 2 callers. River is a 5c, so there's now 3 clubs on the board. I bet $210, 2 callers. My aces end up being good, so I pick $1400. Up to $2500, 10th of 30. Dang - just folded Q/10 to a raise and the flop came 10/Q/10. Think I could have made some money with that?!?! K/K in the SB, I raise to 4xBB and get 2 callers. Flop comes 6/2/K with 2 diamonds. Checks all around. A second heart on the turn makes me nervous so I throw in $300, 1 caller. River is a Jh, now three hearts on the board. I bet $300, other guy raises to $700. Sure he has the flush, I call anyway - he's got J/2 for 2 pair. My set is good! $2900 my way pushes me to $4000, 6th of 27. J/J goes nowhere thanks to ace on the flop and I'm down to $3700. Pick up A/K immediately and raise to 3xBB ($450), no callers, back to $3900. Took a couple pots with position raises/bluffs, and am up to $4200, 6th of 14. A couple more guys gone, we're down to 12, me at $3800. Down to $2500 after A/7 goes nowhere thanks to four diamonds on the flop & turn, 10th of 12. 2 guys busted on the same hand so we're down to 10, me in last with $2500. A couple blinds and now I'm at $1800 and looking for an all-in. A/5, I'm all-in - no callers. Back to $2500 and now we're at the final table! Big stack gone when his A/5 gets beaten by Q/J thanks to Q-Q on the turn/river. 8 players left. K/K and I'm all-in! 2 callers. Flop comes J/Q/7. Turn is a 5 and I'm feeling good. One guy folds, other player turns over A/Q - pair of Qs and a flush draw. Naturally he rivers a Q for a set and I'm busted. Awesome. Same guy that had the Q-Q miracle a couple hands earlier. 8th place, bubble boy. Hard to complain, I played really, really well.

FINISH: 8th place
PAYOUT: $0.00
PROFIT: -$0.25
BANKROLL: $60.97
